WIP | Rain On Wednesday

Breathe bated as the frosted grass twinkled like diamonds in the moon light. It was a cold autumn night made colder by the north eastern winds that rattled the tree branches. Finally he spoke, yet the words seemed miles away from audible. Suddenly yanked back present, “I’ve lived my life edited,” she said with his eyes searching his face for understanding. “Every unspoken thought.”, she continued.

The biting cold burned as the wind blew. Meeting like this the last thing she wanted; but the cold reminded her of everything. Her eyes searched his face for any response she was unclear as to what he had even said only moments ago. "What are you even talking about?", He snarled with such disgust on his face it cut her to her soul. "There is so much you don't even know...", she said a a solitary tear rolled down her cheek. "It's a little late to even start to tell me now don'tcha think?", he retorted coldly as he pushed his hands deeper into his coat pockets. She broke eye contact for a moment as she watched a car roll by. "We can start with why are you so damn paranoid?", He questioned. "Why you have so many fucking secrets?"

She sighed heavily then drew a ragged breathe. "If I told you everything, would you let me live?", she replied making direct eye contact.

"Aloisia why would you say anything like that. I've never and would never harm you in anyway?!", Reed retorted his fact twisted with confusion.

"Meet me at the diner on 34th and 3rd, tomorrow at 6 and I will tell you everything.", she replied as she turned to walked away into the foggy twilight.

The next day passed as any does, work and the daily life. Reed arrived 15 minutes early, and seated himself in the far left corner and waited impatiently for Aloisia to arrive. They had dated off and on for over 2 years; always her secretive ways that caused them to split but Reed always came back. She was 5 minutes late, as usual.

"Almost thought you wouldn't show.", he said with a relieved chuckle as she seated herself. Anxiously she looked over her shoulder surveying the current patrons.

"What I'm about to tell you, you must swear to never speak of.", she said softly with a stern expression on her face.

"I swear.", Reed replied with a look of confusion.

Aloisia nodded towards him, then reached down in to the bag beside her and pulled out a large document folder, sealed. She slid it over to him.
